President’s Blog April 2019

Greetings and thank you to everyone that was able to attend the Alliance Conference in March down in beautiful Orlando, Florida (home of Disney!). I am so grateful to all of the attendees as well as the hundreds of volunteers and staff members that helped put all of that conference together and worked well over a year to organize and implement. I feel that other than the rain, the conference went amazingly well.

I am humbled at the opportunity to serve as the next HEUG president and I hope any and all members know that you can reach out to me directly to let me know how we, as an organization, are doing to serve our membership. What did you think of the conference? Areas that we can do better? Other opportunities that we can work towards? Please let myself, or any of my fellow Board members know!

I also hope that you continue your conversations and engagement with your fellow members that started at Alliance. The power of the HEUG is our membership and our commitment and connections with each other. Higher Education and Public Sector are unique industries because we collaborate and share our pains and successes. We are not proprietary and secretive, but celebratory of when we solve problems and help others to be successful as well. Let’s keep that momentum going throughout the rest of this year!!

And let’s also continue the dialogue and engagement at our regional conference which are just starting up!

Have a wonderful rest of April 2019 and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
