GT eForms Background
- Since 2022
- Campus Solutions
- Moving 5 major student request paper forms to digital format with augmented routing.
Advisory Group Background
- I learned a lot from the people in the GT forum and I really like the group!
- Welcome new institutions who are onboarding GT eForms, create connections with members and sharing what I know about eForms.
- If you could share one thing about eForms with someone who knows nothing, what would it be? How eForms can very much do what you want it to do, without having to purchase another system outside of peoplesoft.
Who am I outside of work?
- I enjoy gardening and taking dance classes as often as I can. Occasionally, I try to learn new things in my spare time. Attempts have been made to learn a combination of American Sign Language, German and fencing. Whether or not I’m good at any of the above-mentioned activities is another question entirely...
Professional Background
- I am currently an HRIS Specialist III with University of Missouri System Administration which supports the four University of Missouri campuses: Columbia, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Missouri S&T in Rolla, as well as MU Healthcare. I started with the University of Missouri - Columbia in September 2000 have held HR roles throughout my career with the University. I have been in my current HRIS Specialist role since October 2016. My career has been focused on Core HR and ePAF.
GT eForms Background
- I transferred to UM System Administration in June 2013, shortly before we went live with GT ePAF and was heavily involved in supporting that transition as I had been involved in testing while still working on the Columbia campus. The University has GT forms for Finance and HR currently, while my focus and experience has been on the HR side.
Advisory Group Background
- I look forward to bringing my HR form background to the team as part of the Advisory group while learning from others who have been using the tool in ways we have not. It is amazing what can be accomplished with GT eForms and I am excited to see our forums grow.
Who am I outside of work?
- I have many varied interests outside of work. I love to take bike rides, and lift weights to stay healthy and burn off steam. My husband and I also love to camp and hike whenever we get the opportunity. In my quiet time I love to crochet and read. I am a lifelong Mizzou football fan, so this is my favorite time of year!
Professional Background
- I am currently working as the Associate Registrar of Systems and Technology at the University of Chicago. I have worked in Higher Education for 22 years all within the Chicago area. I started as a student worker at DePaul University where I obtained my Masters degree. After graduating, I moved to a small private institution, North Park University, and I worked in the office of Student Services. After 4 years, I moved to Northwestern University where I held the position of Senior Assistant Registrar for 4 years in the University Registrar Office before moving onto the Director of Student Registration at the Kellogg School of Management. I have been in my current position since January 2018.
- Throughout my career I have had experience working in Career Services, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and with Records and Registration. Wearing so many different hats has given me a very high level overview of how many administrative offices work within an institution. I’m focused on making systems work better for people—automating repetitive tasks, streamlining workflows, and cutting out inefficiencies so individuals can focus on more meaningful work.
GT eForms Background
- I have been working with GT Forms for about 4-5 years in the area of Campus Solutions
- The form that I am most proud of is our Security Request form. It has so many different layers, visual ifs, notifications, etc. This form required collaboration not only with internal users in the Office of the Registrar, but also Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and our IT Security team. It has been a highly utilized form across campus. We have had over 430 requests since launching in September 2023 and it has reduced so much manual processing and has ensured that all parties are notified appropriately. I recently worked with individuals in The College to create a Priority Registration form. While this form doesn’t have a complex workflow, it does have a robust interface with Peoplesoft. It allows a specific group of individuals to submit a registration request for a set number of classes. The form checks for class status, pre-requisites, consent, and related class components. Upon approval, the form will term activate, register the student, and create an advising note. It doesn’t stop there! Our SIS (Peoplesoft) will write back to the form and indicate which registrations were successful/unsuccessful and we use a Smartsource in the email notification to notify the student about the status of each individual registration request. This has been a huge success this year!
Advisory Group Background
- I was motivated to join the GT eForms Advisory Group to try to get a better understanding of how other users are using this tool. I thought that it would be beneficial to be a part of a group that could lead potential updates and changes for GT.
- Within my office, I would love to make a significant change to many of the manual processes. I hope to learn new tips and tricks and hopefully be able to share my knowledge with others as well.
- The one thing that I would share about eForms is that you really need to have a solid understanding about the foundation of your SIS in order to build out the form/data pool.
Who am I outside of work?
- Outside of work, I enjoy sitting on my deck soaking up the summer rays! I have a passion for the arts and I love to do arts and crafts projects. I enjoy taking long walks in the morning and listening to true crime podcasts. I’m addicted!
Professional Background
- I am a Senior Lead Solution Architect at the University of Nottingham, with over 15 years of experience working in the higher education sector. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved in the design and delivery of enterprise systems that support students, staff, and academic operations. My expertise spans a broad range of technologies and platforms, with a particular focus on Campus Solutions, GT eForms, and complex integration architectures. I bring a strategic mindset to solution design, ensuring that technical implementations align with institutional goals and deliver tangible value. I’m a firm believer in taking users on the journey during system change. True transformation happens not just through technology, but through collaboration, clear communication, and empathy for the people impacted. I’m passionate about building systems that are not only robust and scalable but also intuitive and user-focused. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, delivering impactful projects, and driving continuous improvement in how we use technology across the university.
GT eForms Background:
- I have worked with GT eForms for two years within Campus Solutions. During this time, I’ve gained extensive experience in designing, configuring, and deploying eForms to streamline various student and staff workflows.I am very proud of all the GT eForm projects we’ve delivered. These projects have significantly improved operational efficiency across departments. It’s incredible to see how much time and manual effort they save our users — from automating approval chains to reducing paper-based processes.
- GT eForms have truly transformed how we interact with Campus Solutions. They’ve enabled greater self-service, reduced administrative overhead, and improved data accuracy. Seeing our users embrace these changes and give positive feedback has been one of the most rewarding parts of the work. Collaboration has been key. Working closely with business units, developers, and project stakeholders has helped ensure we deliver eForms that are not only technically sound but also user-friendly and impactful.
Advisory Group Background
- I joined the advisory group because I genuinely believe that GT eForms has transformed the way we use PeopleSoft. It’s an incredibly flexible and powerful tool that has allowed us to modernise processes, reduce manual effort, and greatly enhance the user experience for both staff and students. I’m keen to share as much of our learning and experience as possible — from lessons learned to practical tips — in the hope that it helps others get the most out of their own implementations. At the same time, I find it incredibly valuable to hear about the innovative and creative ways other institutions are using GT eForms. There’s always something new to learn, and these shared insights help us all move forward together. Being part of this group is a great opportunity to collaborate, inspire, and be inspired, and I’m excited to contribute wherever I can.
Who am I outside of work?
- Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family and taking them on little (and sometimes big) adventures. Whether it's camping under the stars, hiking up mountains, or simply walking the dog through the woods, I enjoy being outdoors and making memories together.
- I’m also a passionate football (soccer) fan — both as a spectator and a player. Despite my body’s best attempts to persuade me otherwise, I still manage to play once a week and enjoy every minute of it. For me, it’s a great way to stay active, have fun, and unwind after a busy week.
Professional Background
- Assistant Director of Systems, within the Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I’ve been in the Office of Student Financial Aid for 7 years in various roles and prior to this, I served as a Business Analyst within the UW System’s HCM.
- Areas of Expertise
- Campus Solutions and HCM
- GT eForms
GT eForms Background
- How long have you been working with the product
- Campus Solutions/Student Financials/Accounts payable/HR
- What GTe Forms Project are you most proud of?
- During COVID, we created an Emergency Support Request eForm to assist with the various CARES/HEERF Acts in one week. The eForm is still used to this day!
Advisory Group Background
- What motivated you to join the GT eForms Advisory Group?
- Andrea! Andrea bravely standing up in a huge room in St. Louis for a Birds of a Feather type session before this became an Advisory Group was enough to want me to help out!
- What impacts do you hope to have in your tenure?
- I have learned so much over the years from various members of HEUG - my goal is that I am able to help others the way I’ve been helped over the years. This group has so much potential - I want to be responsible for laying the foundation for future advisory group members.
- If you could share one thing about eForms with someone who knows nothing, what would it be?
- The product will make your life and job easier. And as great as the product is, the team GT has is even better.
Who am I outside of work?
- Hobbies, passions, fun fact. Tell us something about yourself on a personal level.
- Outside of work, we’ve got three young kids that keep my wife and I busy from coaching sports to chauffeuring. My wife, a teacher, also homeschools all three!
- We’ve also got 6 chickens (my favorite is Martha Stewart) and a golden retriever.
Professional Background
- Assistant Director Campus Solutions at North Dakota University System (NDUS.) I’ve been with NDUS for 18 years, all of which working in the student system as a business analyst and assistant director.
- My areas of expertise include PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and various third party systems we connect with.
GT eForms Background
- I have been working with GT eForms in Campus Solutions since 2021, when we implemented.
- The GT eForms project I’m most proud of is the way we display the campus eForms tiles to students and staff. We have a dynamic role attached to the tile based on criteria for 11 different institutions. We needed a way for students to have access to multiple institutions’ eForms and we use a dynamic role based on Admissions and Records data. We use a similar proces for staff that looks at institution security. This took effort from multiple areas and multiple teams to accomplish, but has worked well with few issues since implemented.
Advisory Group Background
- The collaborative nature of GT users across the world and the involved, supportive team at Gideon Taylor is what motivated me to be a part of the Advisory Group. We had great involvement at HEUG Birds of a Feather sessions and it was evident that a formal HEUG group would only cultivate that collaboration. Also, the Gideon Taylor folks are nothing short of amazing when it comes to contributions and immersion into the customer community.
- I hope to help the group continue to grow and raise awareness and educational opportunities for all levels of GT users. Whether you are new to the product or a seasoned veteran, we want to have topics that appeal to everyone.
- If I could share one thing about eForms, I would say vetting out the form project is key. Complexity can add challenges with a form. It’s important to build out the form and consider your business process from the group up, while also keeping the form design and function as simple as possible.
Who am I outside of work?
- Outside of work I enjoy traveling and watching the Minnesota Vikings. We almost always almost win.
Professional Background
- I am currently working as an Application Analyst for the North Dakota University System (NDUS). As part of NDUS, we oversee technology services for all 11 public institutions in the state. I have been with NDUS for roughly ten years, but almost 20 years in Higher Education. I worked for ten years in various roles at the University of North Dakota (UND) in Continuing Education and Finance.
- My areas of expertise are the administrator for Perceptive Content, DocuSign and the functional developer for GT eForms.
GT eForms Background
- I have been working with GT eForms since 2021 in the Campus Solutions area but have assisted in our HCM environment prior to launching into Production.
- A few things I am proud of within GT eForms are how we were able to convert roughly 125 forms from our previous form solution to GT eForms within a year. As well as development of our Campus Action Control Request (CACO) Security form, Registration Action, and Statewide Collaborative forms for our institutions.
Advisory Group Background
- A big motivation for me to be part of the Advisory Group was being part of the process from the ground up. There wasn’t an advisory group at the time and with the help of U.C. Berkeley and U.W. Madison, we were able to form this group to spread the word about GT as well as connect with other GT users to get the most out of this product. I hope that now this group has been established, we continue to grow, and help be the voice of other areas with GT whether they are new to the product or seasoned veterans.
- If I could share one thing about eForms, it would be consistency. It takes time to learn the product and to get the hang of things, but once you become consistent in your naming conventions, search sets, form layout, etc. it will become easier to make changes when requested or if someone else works on GT with you, they are able to assist if you are not available.
Who am I outside of work?
- Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two cats, Special Agents Dale Cooper and Johnny Utah. I love being outside when the weather cools and as much as I am a homebody, traveling and music are my two favorite things. I love attending festivals and going to as many shows as I can locally or while traveling.
Professional Background
- I have been working in higher education for over 17 years. I began my higher ed journey at California State University Channel Islands working in Office of the Registrar as a federal workstudy student assistant. From there I transitioned into a career position as the first Transfer Credit Specialist. Over the course of 5 years, I was the Financial Aid Analyst and my last position at CSUCI was Records Analyst. In 2015 I made the move to the Northern California frontier and joined University of California Berkeley during their Campus Solutions Implementation Project, a 5 year project that was in it’s second year. My role at Berkeley has been one of flexibility, working with transfer credit, records, and finally focusing on digital workflow transformation with the Gideon Taylor eForms product.
- I have dabbled in almost every module of Campus Solutions but my expertise is really in records.
GT eForms Background
- I have been working with the GT eForms product since early 2016 and they just released their newest, configurable!, version 3.00.00. Berkeley has grown up with this product over the last almost 10 years. We currently have 37 forms in production and two major forms in development that perform hundreds of request types across the various campus solutions modules from security to financial aid.
- Campus Solutions
- Student Information System Security Access Request - this has been a year and a half long project that will completely transform security access to campus solutions.
Advisory Group Background
- A couple of years prior to the formation of this advisory group, with the cheering squad at GT, I started working with different campuses to garner interest in this group's creation. We had a small group begin the conversations and things got busy and side-lined that work. When Chris decided to join the dark side, we gained tremendous momentum and somehow convinced Deidre and Sarah to join this cause as well. Without those founding members, and the support of Gideon Taylor, we would not have this incredible group. With the support of the HEUG board, we became the first product advisory group paving the way for others to begin their own groups.
- I hope to see this group continue to grow and engage. The friendships that have been formed and the community that participates is truly unique. It is such an honor to be a part of it.
- It is career altering. This product is so flexible you can accomplish almost anything with it. That flexibility can be your friend and sometimes your enemy when scope starts to creep or partners realize how incredibly capable this product is.
Who am I outside of work?
- I love to explore and find places rich in history. My background is in Biology, I had anticipated going into a career of scientific research, but after a year of cultivating billions of e.coli to express a specific gene only to lose it in my last wash…. I decided maybe this is not what I really want to do. That does not change my love for science and my curiosity for the world we live in. All living things fascinate me to my core.
