As you would be aware from previous e-mails, nominations were called for
the position of Chair, ANZ HEUG on the ANZ HEUG Executive as the term of
the current Chair was coming to an end. The call for nominations closed on
the 24 January 2010.
The outcome is that only one nomination has been received for this
position, and that is from Mr Allan Morris who is currently an Executive
Member on the ANZ HEUG Executive. As no other nominations were received,
there is no requirement to proceed to a vote.
I am thus pleased to announce that Allan Morris, Executive Director
Information technology Services at RMIT, shall take over as Chair, ANZ
HEUG as of the 1st March 2010. Also, as per the decision taken at the
Executive Forum in Brisbane in November 2009, Allan shall also become the
ANZ HEUG nomination for the position of ANZ International Representative
on the HEUG Board.
I would like to congratulate Allan on this appointment. Allan has been
very actively involved in the ANZ HEUG over the past years and I have no
doubt will continue this through this new role.
The move of Allan into this role, means that a vacancy will exist on the
ANZ HEUG Executive. I shall undertake over the coming couple of weeks to
put out a call for nominations to fill this vacancy.
