    Hi,
Resending - the email that came through was truncated :(...

    1. Does your University use the delivered self service enrolment?
    Yes

    2. Have you developed your own custom enrolment interface and is so what was the rationale behind this decision?
We've made some modifications but essentially using the delivered Self Service interface.

    3. Do you schedule all your classes in PeopleSoft (full class enrolment) or do you manage tutorials etc outside of PeopleSoft?
We currently (v7.6) schedule all classes, including related classes, in PeopleSoft. When we go live with CS9, scheduling will be done in Syllabus Plus and classes imported into CS9. There will be minimal scheduling done directly in PeopleSoft.

    4. If you schedule all your classes in PeopleSoft is this done manually or do you interface from a scheduling product eg Syllabus Plus?
See 3. In 7.6 we use a modified version of Prior Term Copy then make changes manually.

    5. If you manage your tutorials outside of PeopleSoft, what system or process do you use to manage these and when does this occur?
Related classes and enrol classes are scheduled together.

    6. When do you enrol your students for each semester?
Enrolment generally opens 1 November of the preceding year, and closes after the second week of term.

    7. Do you use enrolment appointments? If so how do stagger your student population for open enrolment?
    No.

    8. How many terms and sessions do you have?
Most programs are taught over summer school and two semesters (1 session in each). Some programs are taught in quarters (1 session in each). We have a full year term for PhD programs (24 sessions - yeah, I know, but there is a good reason). I don't believe we are looking at a drastic change in term structure when we upgrade to CS9. We do use Dynamic Dates in a limited way, and may look at a separate DD session for our semestral terms.

    9. Do you use the delivered faculty centre and/or student services centre in V9?
    We will be using both.

    10. What additional tools/methods do you use to inform students what they need to enrol in ie academic advisement, program and course catalogue, online handbook?
We will be using Advisement, and there are online & printed handbooks.

    11. How do you measure the success of student's enrolment experience? For example feedback, polls, statistics?
    We do surveys mainly.

    12. Do you have any major concerns or work planned in regard to enrolment in the near future?
Responses to the delivered self-service enrolment pages are mixed. While a lot of the functionality is welcome, and an improvement from our current self-service application, in does not rate well in terms of appearance, process flow, and ease-of-use.
