I am sure that many of you have had issues at some point in time with the quality of address data in your student system.

I would like to hear from you if you are able to suggest address validation software that may be able to assist with the integrity of this data.

We are using the QAS software from Experian to validate Australian addresses.

we are validating addresses when students create & update their personal
details via our web-site; using a web service.

We also have it integrated into our Peoplesoft CRM so that addresses entered
or updated via the CRM are validated.

On our list of things to do is to use the generated DPID codes to print
bar-codes on addresses on letters.

1. Cost

2. Impact on performance of system in peak enrolment times

3. Max number of students you may have accessing your system inputting address details at any point in time.

We do not currently use any validating software, but are investigating QAS software from Experian as a tool to validate our Australian addresses.
