Dear Colleagues Voting for the position of ANZ president closed at 5pm on Tuesday 18 January 2011. Nominations were received from Gail White (University of Newcastle), Barbara Buckley (Griffith University) and Joseph Fenech (University of NSW). I am pleased to announce that Gail White received the most votes and is therefore your new ANZ President. As the outgoing president, I would like to take this opportunity of congratulating Gail and also to thank Barbara and Joseph for nominating. Gail's election will create a vacancy on the ANZ Executive so a future election will need to be held in that regard. This will be my final email to the ANZ HEUG community so I thank you all for your support over many years. Kind Regards Allan

    Dear Colleagues
Thanks very much for your support and congratulatory messages. I am
very pleased to be taking on the role of President and hope I will live
up to your expectations. It will take me a little while to get up to
speed but I am eager to continue the good work of the HEUG.

With such dedicated colleagues as Barbara and Joseph who were also
willing to take on this responsibility I am sure we will be an even more
    successful group in the future.

Special thanks to Allan for his considerable efforts and I hope to be
able to pick his brain before be bows out altogether. I'd best be the
first to proffer wine and chocolates.

Once again, thank you for supporting me and I'll be in touch soon.
    Regards
    Gail
