Hi Cyrus,
It'd be useful to see that actual request error from the web server log,
but initial thoughts are that the AJAX request is malformed in some way,
perhaps sending a "get" instead of a "GET", or that it is setting the
content type to something that the web server isn't configured for. If
so then if you could isolate a browser or browser plugin that causes
this, or modify the web server configuration to accept the requests, or
if you have a load balancer that is clever enough, rewrite the offending
call so the web server only gets requests it understands.
