Colleagues
The ANZ HEUG Technical Group Meeting will be held:
Date: Wednesday 30 November 2011
Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Location: Broadbeach 2 Room - Jupiters Hotel, Gold Coast
Each institution is requested to confirm the attendance of their
representative(s) or nominees.
Each Institution may send 2-3 attendees to this meeting. It is suggested
that both development and technical infrastructure perspectives be
covered.
Could you please confirm attendance by cob Monday 7 November (or earlier)
with name(s) of you institutional representatives using the form at:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dEIyYVgyMWlHaFl5RWs4V0pLeVpWbHc6MQPlease also add any topics or issues for discussion.
If you have any additional items after you have completed this form email
t.neaton@griffith.edu.au directly.
Items currently on the agenda for discussion are:
Data Archiving
This is a topic that many institutions have raised as an issue and no
definitive directions have been established. I am requesting a vendor to
briefly present a third-party solution and Q&A session to provide everyone
with a wider perspective on the topic.
Mobile Strategies
This is an issue that has gathered significant momentum in 2011 and many
institutions are having to present administrative applications and data in
a mobile context.
I am seeking two or three institutions to present a 3-4 minute session on
their mobile initiatives and strategies and then conduct a general Q&A. If
you can participate please email
t.neaton@griffith.edu.au directly.
Regards
Tony
