  • 1.  TechOne to PeopleSoft Data Import

    GDay Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with importing data from TechOne's Financials to PeopleSoft Financials?

We've decided to simply close out most transactions in TechOne, thus limiting the amount of information that will be required to be recreated as new transactions in PeopleSoft. CQUniversity is not looking at a total data import, just specific areas where manual data entry will be far too cumbersome, like Assets and Vendors. We have access to pick out whatever data we choose to from the TechOne's application, but mapping that data into the applicable PeopleSoft tables might be fairly tricky, so if anyone has any old documents, or wouldn't mind pointing us in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Cyrus,

We moved from Techone to Peoplesoft 4 years ago.

We simply used the Excel to CI spreadsheet load tools supplied with the Peoplesoft application.

This enabled us to load Customers, Vendors and Assets without too much fuss.

I do remember that assets would only load about 100 records at a time, but this simply meant doing a copy paste excercise.

We probably have copies of these somewhere if you're interested.

    Regards,

    Michael
