Planning for the upcoming Alliance Down Under 2013 conference, at the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort & Spa on Thursday 7 & Friday 8 November is continuing.
This year the ANZ Higher Education User Group (HEUG) is pleased to extend the invitation to attend to areas in your institution that manage program and course creation and renewal management. As part of building the agenda we have identified a trend with the submitted presentations where institutions have implemented and/or are assessing the new Program Enrolment and Activity Management functionality delivered by Oracle as part of their continuous delivery model. Below are details of the presentations.

Details: With the delivery of the Academic Item Registry and Common Attribute Framework as part of Program Enrolment and Activity Management, the ANU has used the new functionality as the basis for the publication of its new curriculum catalogue/online handbook website. The project delivered a new suite of websites featuring the Universitys 2014 curriculum building on the existing academic structure with new functionality and the dynamic display of undergraduate flexible double degrees.
Improving the Student Experience at Griffith - Enrolment, and Programs and Course

Details: To improve student satisfaction rates with the enrolment experience, the project was tasked to improve Program and course information provided to students and to develop an integrated user interface that allowed students to view their program structures, plan their courses, create their timetable and enrol seamlessly.
The project included: Creation of new components in PeopleSoft for detailed program information and program structures;creation of a Data Store and front end display; reuse of the data to populate new enrolment interface; and use of PeopleSoft delivered enrolment web services.
Program Enrollment and Activity Management: A New Paradigm for Student Enrollment and Assessment

Program Enrolment - The key to using Campus Solutions for TAFE students

Details: The University of Ballarat is a dual sector university offering Programs to both the Higher Education and TAFE sector. In 2008 we implemented Campus Solutions for our Higher Education sector and now, in 2013, we have begun the Integrated Student Information Systems (ISIS) Project to incorporate our TAFE students into Campus Solutions. The project is due to go live in September 2014.
How will we process TAFE students in Campus Solutions, a system built primarily for Higher Education students? Hear about how much we need to customise Campus Solutions to achieve the businesses requirements and how the business is responding to this change.
Due to the fact that TAFE use a nationally recognised curriculum, a more rigid program structure is required compared to Higher Education. Learn about how we will utilise Program Enrolment to accommodate this and streamline the enrolment process for TAFE students. We will be looking at the limitations of Program Enrolment and enhancements we intend to include for its effective use.
