Administer Training VS Enterprise Learning Management (ELM)

  • 1.  Administer Training VS Enterprise Learning Management (ELM)

    Posted 09-07-2015 07:53 PM
    Good Morning,

We are currently weighing up our option on whether to use Administer training within PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or implement PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM). Our understanding is that there is a significant difference between the functionality of the 2 modules but there is also a significant difference in the implementation time, effort and ongoing maintenance. Has anyone implemented Administer Training or ELM? If so, any information you can share on the following would be greatly appreciated:

    1. Did your organisation choose to use Administer Training or ELM and what were your reasons?

    2. For those that use Administer Training, do you know if the configuration (ie, courses, sessions, enrolment history etc) is used in ELM if we choose to implement Administer Training as phase 1 and ELM as phase 2? Or do they work as completely separate modules therefore requiring new course setup in ELM?

    3. Does anyone use both modules at the same time? Ie, Administer training for face to face course management/enrolment and ELM for online courses?

    4. What were your implementation learnings for the module you use?

    5. What was the resource effort for implementation and what ongoing BAU support is required?

    6. How does Administration Training and ELM integrate with other modules of PeopleSoft (ePerformance, TAM/Candidate Gateway, Profile Management, Position Management)?

    7. Any additional information you can share regarding either Administer Training or ELM.

    Thank you
    Sasha
