    Hi

For those in the HR / Payroll space you will be fully aware that one of the biggest government initiatives that Australia has seen in a very long time is about to be rolled out, with the introduction of Single Touch Payroll.

I am keen to find out if there are others that would be interested in being involved in a functional network group which could be used to share ideas / approaches / experiences in relation to the required business process changes, associated governance and once we receive our patch from Oracle, the impacts, bugs or enhancements that may be required.

My understanding is that we will all be in a situation where we will need to select a registered clearing house / intermediary (at a cost!) to transfer our payroll files to the ATO, as the patch being delivered by Oracle will not contain the necessary security protocols and encryptions that are acceptable to the ATO, and to even attempt to build something as individual institutions would be a huge amount of work. As a relatively large group, there may be some value in joining forces when making decisions around the clearing house to use, or even to be a united voice back to Oracle or the ATO.

I am more than happy to initiate this network group. If you are interested please email me the names and emails addresses of those in your institutions who could contribute to this group.

    Regards
    Jane

    Hi Jane,

Sounds like a great idea. We are at an early stage here at UNSW. We are focusing on the first key step on the critical path which is the upgrade to our Peoplesoft platform so we will be on at least the minimum PUM image and PeopleTools version required for the STP Patch from Oracle.
Therefore, at this stage please just include my name and I will provide further contacts as we progress.
