Jane,
We receive a daily file from HR showing staff resignations and movements.
We review this file daily and remove access to those staff that have left or are now in roles that no longer require access to the relevant system.

Subject: [anz.heug] - Late Contract Renewals and Access to Systems
Hi
I am keen to hear from others within the network on how they handle late contract renewals, in relation to maintaining access to systems, emails etc.
Here at UoA, the system 'de-provisioning' date is set to be 45 days after the expected end date of the staff members contract. This date is set when the contract renewal tasks are generated 3 months prior to the end date of the contract. This allows late contract renewals to be accepted and sent to the staff members university email account, whilst their system access is still active. There is some degree of risk associated with this approach though.
I would be keen to understand how other Universities handle this.
Regards
Jane
