Hi Michael
Griffith utilises Sharepoint for some documentation in general. From a CRM
technical documentation perspective it does have some issues.
For example, when generating API documentation from inline source code
comments using tools such as Doxygen or NaturalDocs, for example, html
generated is structured in a whole bunch of sub-directories - as it should
be. The issue with putting this all up on Sharepoint is that if a user
clicks on say index.html, Sharepoint then tries to download ALL the
generated documentation - that is all directories. It doesn't seem to
handle relative links.
As a result we are putting our generated documentation directly on a cloud
service and only referencing via a link in Sharepoint, that way the
download does not occur.
Thought this might be of interest.
thanks
Rose
