    Posted 08-29-2018 10:46 PM
    Good afternoon everyone,

I am pleased to announce that the Federation University, Australia has successfully upgraded to Campus Solutions 9.2 with full FLUID functionality delivered to our students.
As part of this upgrade, our intention was to revolutionise the student experience with our student management system and we delivered seamlessly on 18th of August 2018.
The implementation was completed within twelve months, utilising a team of ten highly capable resources, delivered significant value by investing just an over $1million.

The project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule. Below are some key implementation details for your noting:

    * PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application upgrade from v9.0 to v9.2

    * Applied PUM6 and PT8.55.16 (PT8.56 upgrade project in progress)

    * Retired a number of our customisations (FedUni is a dual sector site, with a low number of bolt-on customisations)

    * Revolutionised self-service experience by implementing FLUID features for student self-service.

    * Delivered our first Activity Guides for our "Graduation Application" and multiple "Enrolment Checklists", including custom built fluid CAFs, enhancing the student experience through the new fluid pages.

    * Improved system architecture, and our library of technical documentation

    * A comprehensive testing process comprising of

o System testing - identified over 220 defects (resolved pre-go live),

o Performance testing using WAPT tool to exceed the expected level by performance tunning

o Over 25 change requests accepted and delivered as part of release package.

o User acceptance testing sign-off three weeks ahead of actual go live, to ensure that the team had ample to perform go live drill and prepare for release.

We have just completed our "lessons learned review" and will present our experience at the upcoming HEUG conference.

I would like to acknowledge the exceptional contribution made by our upgrade team and I look forward to share our experience with our colleagues at the HEUG main event.

    · PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application upgrade from v9.0 to v9.2

    · Applied PUM6 and PT8.55.16 (PT8.56 upgrade project in progress)

    · Retired a number of our customisations (FedUni is a dual sector site, with a low number of bolt-on customisations)

    · Revolutionised self-service experience by implementing FLUID features for student self-service.

    · Delivered our first Activity Guides for our "Graduation Application" and multiple "Enrolment Checklists", including custom built fluid CAFs, enhancing the student experience through the new fluid pages.

    · Improved system architecture, and our library of technical documentation

    · A comprehensive testing process comprising of

o System testing - identified over 220 defects (resolved pre-go live),

o Performance testing using WAPT tool to exceed the expected level by performance tunning

o Over 25 change requests accepted and delivered as part of release package.

o User acceptance testing sign-off three weeks ahead of actual go live, to ensure that the team had ample to perform go live drill and prepare for release.

We have just completed our "lessons learned review" and will present our experience at the upcoming HEUG conference.

I would like to acknowledge the exceptional contribution made by our upgrade team and I look forward to share our experience with our colleagues at the HEUG main event.
