The position of Chair of the ANZ HEUG becomes vacant in March 2010. This
is a call for nominations for this position.
Before you nominate for this position, you need to be aware of the
following. A recent change to the By-Laws of the global HEUG, has ensured
that the ANZ HEUG will have a representative on the Board of Directors of
the HEUG. This is a three year position which I have occupied fro the past
three years. The Board position becomes vacant in March 2010 (the same
time that the Chair of the ANZ HEUG position becomes vacant). At the ANZ
HEUG Executive Forum at the November conference this year, it was
determined that the Chair of the ANZ HEUG would be the nominee for the ANZ
HEUG position on the HEUG Board of Directors.
So, you need to be aware that if you nominate and you are successful in
being elected as the Chair of the ANZ HEUG, then you need to be able to
commit the time to also being a member of the HEUG Board of Directors.
This commitment includes 3 face to face meetings in the USA each year, a
monthly board conference call, acting as a board rep on one of the HEUG
PAGS plus any other activities as required. This would take effect from
the HEUG Conference in March 2010.
This is a call for nominations for the position of Chair of the ANZ HEUG.
Nominations will close on 24th January and if required an election will be
held in the final week of January.
