Successful Go-Live at USQ

  • 1.  Successful Go-Live at USQ

    Posted 10-01-2009 06:57 PM
    Colleagues

On Monday 28 September 2009 USQ successfully went live with Project S which encompassed the following upgrades and new implementations.

PeopleSoft Student 7.6 to Campus Solutions V9.0
    PeopleSoft HR/Payroll 7.6 to HR/Global Payroll V9.0
    Oracle Portal
Oracle Identity Management (effectively live since March 2009)
Sitecore CMS (live since mid August)
    Gmail for Students
    New Modular Data Centre

The upgrades and implementations were not without their challenges and there is still some minor mopping up in progress but all in all a major project delivered ontime and within budget which is a credit to all those involved. We could not have achieved this without the commitment of all staff, management and contractors involved and having adequate resources and skillsets available.

In many respects we were once again let down by our suppliers on many fronts and we will cover off a number of the issues we encountered as future learning's at the November HEUG.

Good luck to those still in the throws of PeopleSoft upgrades and implementations as we have heard a number are facing challenges of their own.

    Kind regards

The upgrades and implementations were not without their challenges and there is still some minor mopping up in progress but all in all a major project delivered ontime and within budget which is a credit to all those involved. We could not have achieved this without the commitment of all staff, management and contractors involved and having adequate resources and skillsets available.

In many respects we were once again let down by our suppliers on many fronts and we will cover off a number of the issues we encountered as future learning’s at the November HEUG.

Good luck to those still in the throws of PeopleSoft upgrades and implementations as we have heard a number are facing challenges of their own.

    Kind regards

    Brian,

As part of your project did you interface PeopleSoft with SiteCore?   If so, would you mind sharing lessons learned.
