As Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings become more prevalent in the marketplace, higher educational institutions need to carefully consider all of the benefits, issues and potential pitfalls of adopting these solutions. In this session, you will learn about the University of Virginia’s journey to the SaaS cloud from beginning to end. We’ll explore the decision-making process, all of the issues the University had to address along the way and how we’re addressing stabilization after our go live. Topics covered will include project and change management, organizational change, technical integration, infrastructure changes and legacy system management. We’ll also explore how the project has fundamentally changed the work of technical staff and the way the University does business.
