Using Seneca College's experience in both implementation project and sustainment models, we will discuss techniques and tools to bridge the divide that can develop between Functional and Technical Teams. The session will explore often observed differences between how Functional and Technical Teams operate, as well as how to be more aware of potential missing skills sets between the Teams. Topics such as communication tools and resources (e.g. documentation techniques) to increase both the efficiency and effectiveness of cross-team communication, as well as avoid common misunderstandings between Functional and Technical Team members will be discussed.
