Western went live with sciQuest almost 5 years ago and right from the start many internal units wanted to be setup as vendors. For a multitude of reasons, Western did not go down that path!

After gaining experience with the sciQuest system and the various integrations, Western developed a plan to use sciQuest Forms along with a dedicated number wheel to capture purchases from University units. On the PeopleSoft side, Western created a special table for sciQuest Accounting Lines; modified the PeopleCode that processed sciQuest PO messages to insert rows into the new Accounting Line table (when the PO prefix was ‘J’); and completed the necessary Journal Generator setup.
