The Mass Assign function is critical in UCT’s process to making offers to applicants as fast as possible when the final school leaving results are released. Since UCT’s custom Mass Assign AppEngine does this via a CI, processing one offer can be quite time consuming.During this presentation we will discuss the following:-Why we didn’t make use of the delivered function to make offers.-How we identified where an improvement can be made.-Moving some of the “heavy lifting” out of Maintain Applications and onto the Notification Handler.-Making use of multiple process schedulers for all faculties to make offers simultaneously.-The overall gains which were achieved: Time saved, Offers made.
