We streamlined business processes during the pandemic using delivered PeopleSoft functionalities

In response to many of the shifts in business process that were necessitated by the pandemic, the Enrolment Services team was at the forefront of implementing three major projects that have gone on to streamline process for both students and staff during our remote, work from home reality, and continue to provide process improvements and efficiencies as we transition out of COVID-19 and return to more in-person based business.

The first tool that was implemented by enrolment services was the PeopleSoft delivered "Post Enrolment Requirement Checking (PERC)" in conjunction with the PeopleSoft delivered 3C functionality to derive the combined synergy of both tools to completely automate the task of warning, dropping and communicating with students who don't meet the pre-requites. This tool replaced an out-dated, custom query and allowed for student-centered process and communication at a critical time.

The second tool implemented by enrolment services was the "Service Request" which is a PeopleSoft delivered tool that effectively lets the students to request any service though their student portal, track the status, have a two way communication with the staff member assisting with the request and also get notified of the status using the 3C functionality. This reduced the usage of the email to a bare minimum and also helped the wider advising community to easily track and look up requests without having to look up and sift through complicated email chains

The third tool to be implemented by enrolment services was the "Advising Notes" functionality which enables advisors across the campus to add notes to the student's record for every interaction thereby standardizing the advising comments across the campus to avoiding any redundancies. This tool also enables the students to view the advising notes on their student center.
