The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of the customised departmental awards process at the UCT. The presentation aims to highlight the online process used by academic fund holders, from approving funding conditions through awarding students to their student accounts. We will discuss: (a)Setting up of new conditions of an award; (b)Opening of a new fund or using an existing fund in the Chart of Accounts; (c)Configuration required in Campus Solutions; (d)Fund holder undertaking of the award indemnity; (e)Fund holder or administrator offer award to student or fellow; (f)Fund holder approval or rejection of award offer; (g)Fund holder action when offer of award is rejected by PGFO; (h)Student Accepting the offer in Student Self Service; (i)Postgraduate Funding Office posting the award to the student account.
