We have used the Query Report Viewer to solve many reporting issues that would have required technical effort to build reports or to replace out of system processes. Some examples of the different processes we have used this for include reports for Academic Senate pertaining to graduation, tracking our Late Discontinued students, a specialized roster for our Professional Development Career as well as reports for the faculties to find scheduling errors during the academic scheduling process in Campus Solutions.

In the session, we will go over how to set up a query report using BI publisher and it’s corresponding report definition. We will look over some examples of how Concordia University has used the tool and how it quickly resolved challenges we faced. We will then look at how these were set up and various tips and tricks to use them efficiently.
