The new HR-Communities of Practice (CoP) Office at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is an innovative approach to learning through community building and trust-based, meaningful relationships. This office fosters essential knowledge-sharing, raises important questions, and helps to facilitate HR CoPsHow do HR CoP's transform its relationship with HR offices across a large decentralized campus which demonstrates a true ‘consultative, strategic partnership?’ What are HR CoP's and how can they be used to identify potential challenges and gaps in training HRS modules, along with creating sustainable communities in support of those efforts. This office fosters essential knowledge-sharing, raises important questions, and helps to facilitate an HR cultural transformation that will result with the goal of in effective partnerships, delegated security and authority in critical areas, and a sustainable, competency-based learning program for our diverse campus HR community. In this session, participants will learn about our innovative model, the process by which we are developing this new office, and the results from our efforts thus far.
