Starting with an overview of the University of Waterloo’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions installation, this session describes the current architectural state and changes resulting from the adoption of PeopleSoft’s new Deployment Packages (DPK) delivery method – or, a merging of the old with the new. The traditional application upgrade methodology is also reviewed, including the number of environments required to perform an application upgrade and some consequences of this methodology. Finally, this session provides a description of how the standard compare process can be modified to reduce the effort required in reapplying customizations and narrow the scope of testing.
