When it was decided that all applications by South African students for financial aid from NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) would be applied for via NSFAS' facilitated portals (rather than via the Higher Ed institution at which they enrolled), the Univ of Pretoria [UP] elected to make use of NSFAS delivered web-services based integration (rather than Excel/file based upload/download tools) to integrate UP and NSFAS data. Whilst a number of the NSFAS web-services are now functional there are other web-services that are still problematic. This session will share UP's successes and frustrations arising from the use of these web-services.
