In 2017 the University of Adelaide embarked on an upgrade from FS91 to FS92. Earlier in that same year, a wide ranging restructure to centralise most transactional processing activities had occurred.In parallel, and to support, this transformation, a University-wide rollout of eProcurement and various self-service online forms took place, resulting in a significant increase to the user base of the Finance system (over 2000 users). The 9.2 upgrade presented an opportunity through new Fluid UI and workcentres to engage with our stakeholders and improve their user experience with self-service and daily transactional activities. This presentation will describe our approach to user engagement, showcase the fluid design and workcentres and discuss technical challenges and lessons learned through the process.
