Ten years ago the University of Amsterdam and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences transitioned to Campus Solutions. Since then, tears were shed and lessons were learned. Today the institutions are moving from a systems-central and waterfall way of solving problems to a more agile and customer- or process-central way. This session will provide an overview of some ‘learning moments’ of the past few years, and how these failures were used to do better today. How can a team fail more intelligently? Can areas be defined where failing (fast) can be encouraged, and how to protect areas where failure is not an option? And what fosters a culture of innovation where it’s safe to rehearse, safe to fail, safe to question and safe to imagine?
The Higher Education User Group (HEUG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping member institutions effectively manage administrative technologies to improve the student and user experience. We support executives, managers, and staff who select, deploy, integrate, and manage multiple systems by providing education, professional resources, and opportunities to connect with peers.
