The implementation of a centralised repository for faculty handbooks has undergone various stages of development, training and support for its business owner(Faculties)at University of Cape Town(UCT). The handbooks edition has been a tedious, time consuming and costly process. A need to have a centralised repository had to be developed to create the faculty handbooks in a more efficient and cost effective way that will benefit the Student Administration, Students and Academics. The presentation will be about UCT experience in implementing the content management systems as a central repository for faculty handbooks that is aligned with the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution landscape for sustainability and flexibility in meeting the business requirements and management. It will bring a streamlined handbook compilation processes and operations reduction of administrative burden by reducing duplication of content and ensuring consistency of content between channels(referring to Faculties).
