During this workshop we aspire to have all attendees getting their feet wet with Rules Engine. This session is geared towards technical, technically savvy and functional users. Using practical Use Cases we will walk attendees through the process of transforming Business Requirements into Business Rules. We will introduce several features of Rule Building and implement each feature in three steps:• Setting the stage by introducing the concept• Concepts are illustrated using live demo’s and a functional use case• Participants can follow along with demo as activities• Review of concepts and Q&AWe will use easy to medium complex use cases to build rules which will allow participants to gain maximum benefit from attendance whilst building Rules within their comfort level. During this deep dive session we will explore several facets of the Rules Engine Framework including:• How to Approach Business requirements and use cases towards building Business Rules• Understanding Entity Registry and leveraging Entity Profiles for data access and update.• Setting up Rules Engine Framework.• Leveraging existing Frameworks and Rules Engine Implementations• Building Rules using Rules Engine Features such as System Variables, List Processing, Entity Processing, Data Sets.• Testing rules in the Rules Engine Manager.• Scheduling Rules to run in batch.• Understanding Custom IntegrationNote: Attendees will be asked to bring their own laptops and make sure their systems meet necessary prerequisite requirements and that workshop materials have been reviewed and projects applied. Participants are encouraged to “pair up” technically savvy and functional users into working teams. Maximum number of participants: 25Preferred System requirements: PeopleSoft CS bundle 40 (January 2016) with Tools 8.54.03 or higher (If you have installed Tools 8.54.16 or higher you will need to install the following Patch 22599075 on your system prior to attending the workshop)
