The idea of using the Cloud is no longer a new concept – in fact, it is now considered as the New Normal. Almost every consumer would have had been a user of a cloud service, except that most would not have realized that the service that they are consuming is actually running off a cloud service provider. This New Normal is also true of major education institutions as there is now an accelerated pace of adoption of commercial cloud service provider. Major education software providers have also developed their solution and offered them as a Software as a Service model and this is now almost the preferred manner by which institutions are consuming cloud services. Many institutions have leveraged the agility, flexibility and scalability of cloud services to transform themselves because they are unable to enjoy these capabilities when they have built their own data centre. In this session, we will look at how various institutions have transformed themselves through their journey to the cloud.
