Everyone has a story to tell. This is MacEwans story about how it was phished for $11.8 million dollars, and how its IT department responded to the phish. It will talk about the processes and controls that were already in place at MacEwan that contributed to a quick and effective response to the incident. MacEwan will also talk about the IT controls that were implemented as a result of the phish, and some key controls that were added to its PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleSoft Finance systems. The session will conclude with the IT lessons learned from the phishing incident.
