UniSA began using REST web services as our primary method of providing real-time data (via web services) to both internal and external systems out of our student system (Campus Solutions 9.0 8.52 PT, now 8.54 PT). This session will provide an overview of REST web service technology in PeopleSoft and lessons learnt over the last few years.

At the time we started developing with REST service technology it was a new feature to both PeopleSoft and to our team, so there was a lot of trial and error that went in to getting the first iterations of the services working. Since that time, we've expanded and enhanced how we are providing and consuming REST web services out of PeopleSoft, which is becoming an important set of skills to have as we integrate with more third party/cloud applications used by the University.
