Building better-than-breadcrumbs navigation

Presented by: Jim Marion

Date: Monday, 5 November 9.00 AM – 11.00 AM

Fee: $250 + GST

Location: Presence of IT, Level 15, 239 George Street, BRISBANE

Overview:

Self-service users absolutely love Fluid: intuitive navigation and intelligently designed pages. Through tiles and homepages, PeopleSoft's modern Fluid user experience delivers a new navigation paradigm. Unfortunately, Fluid's benefits have not found their way into the back office. What was once breadcrumb navigation is now the Navbar Navigator. Generally speaking, back office users love breadcrumbs because they provide context and often encompass significant portions of a business process. In contrast, the Navbar displays no context, is not business process aware, and requires multiple clicks just to expose navigation.

In this session, business analysts, subject matter experts, and developers will learn how to build and configure Fluid-like navigation for back office Classic components. When built properly, your back office users will prefer this new navigation paradigm over Classic breadcrumbs.

This is a hands-on session. Please bring a laptop to participate. Your instructor will provide activity guides and training server access.
