Oracle OpenWorld is right around the corner. Beginning this weekend tens of thousands of customers and partners will arrive in San Francisco to learn about the latest developments in Oracle products. For those of you HEUGers planning to make the trip, I thought I’d share just a few things that may assist you in navigating this LARGE event.
First, Oracle has put together a Research and Education guide to make it easier to find other education customer presentations this week. This is replacing the focus-on paper documents of the past – it looks like Oracle has moved to a green and sustainable model.
Additionally, the HEUG Update session is scheduled for 10 AM on Sunday. Lew Conner, our Executive Director, and I look forward to seeing many of you there. It’s a great time to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.
And finally, I wanted to mention a few things specific to PeopleSoft enterprise application sessions that you might find interesting as you are looking to enhance Oracle/PeopleSoft applications and technology within your institution. Paco Aubrejuan is scheduled to give the PeopleSoft Strategy and Roadmap session Monday morning and Jeff Robbins will present the PeopleSoft Technology Roadmap shortly there after.
For E-business customers, there are also a set of session you may find valuable. Consider the following:
