The above title is a paraphrase of Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, who is attributed for saying "change is the only constant in life." This phrase came to mind as I thought about what is ahead in 2017.
The HEUG Board will see change as a new President takes over. Current President, Mario Berry (Lone Star College), will hand over the reigns to President-Elect, Jane Broad (University of Glasgow), during next month's Alliance 2017 conference. Oracle products will continue to evolve with the focus this year gravitating towards cloud based products. We’re all struggling with budget concerns as funding for Higher Education continues to be a challenge, but let's move on to what's familiar!
