Meet the EBS Advisory Group

The EBS Advisory Group is comprised of 10 higher ed representatives from around the country as well as various areas in their organizations.  Here is a highlight of the current EBS Advisory Group members, the role the hold within HEUG, and their role at their university.  Please take a moment to reach out and connect!

Chair:  Sue Clements, Director, Finance Applications

University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA

In her day job, Sue leads a group of 7 business and technical analysts that provide support for all Oracle EBS Finance and Supply Chain modules.  As Chair of the Advisory Group, Sue is the primary liaison between the AG and the Product Council, ensuring we are meeting the goals set forth by the board and the needs of our members. 

 

Vice-Chair:  Amy Albrinck Schroeder, Assistant Comptroller

Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI

Amy leads a small team (4) responsible for the functional system administration of several applications for Finance and Human Resources.   Most prominent is EBS, along with Workforce (timekeeping), Coupa (eProcurement), ImageNow/Perceptive Content (document imaging) and MSSRS (BI reporting).

 

Track Chair:  Kathleen Campbell, Manager of eBusiness Suite

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL

Kathleen manages a team of 4 analysts that provide support for Oracle EBS HCM, Payroll and Finance.  As Track Chair, she is responsible for coordinating the EBS track at Alliance 2020 so she will be reaching out for ideas!

 

Assistant Track Chair:  Andrea Perez, Director, Systems Architecture and Planning

Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA

Andrea leads a team of business analysts responsible for the planning and execution of major system initiatives.   Andrea and her team are also responsible for supporting existing systems such as Oracle Financials, OBIEE, as well as implementing new and custom solutions to meet the evolving needs of the University’s financial community. 

Communications Coordinator:  Arun Subramanian, Technical Team Lead, Enterprise Applications

Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL

Arun leads a team of 4 developers.  They work with business analysts and end users to ensure EBS is running without issues.  They are currently running 12.1.3 HCM, Payroll and Finance and Banner 9 as their SIS.  As communications coordinator, Arun is the virtual voice behind our @EBSHEUG twitter account!

 

Enhancement Tracker Coordinator:  Darla Bruno, Sr. Programmer/Analyst

Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH

 

Darla is a Sr. Programmer/Analyst working with the Oracle EBS finance modules and related interfaces.  Darla is serving as the Enhancement Tracker coordinator and is working with Oracle Support on best practices for leveraging ideation. 

 

Co-Secretary:  Welby Lai, Manager Financial Systems

California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA

Welby manages a team of analysts and developers responsible for supporting the financial modules of Caltech’s EBS suite.  His team also supports non-EBS administrative systems (e.g. AssetWorks AiM for facilities and Ellucian Advance for fundraising) that integrate into EBS financials.  Welby has served as the EBS Track Chair for the past two years.  This is his final eligible year to be a part of the EBS Advisory Group and is serving as co-secretary.

 

Co-Secretary:  Casey Brown, Director of Student and Administrative Applications

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL

Casey is the IT Director for the Campus Solutions and EBS support teams, as well as approximately 45 administrative applications that are used throughout the university.  There are 5 applications analysts reporting to Casey, as well as 2 managers.  Casey has served as the EBS Chair for the past two years.  This is her final eligible year to be a part of the EBS Advisory Group and is serving as co-secretary.

 

Scott Mitchell, ERP Technical Team Lead

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY

Scott is the technical lead a team of 4 that provides support for all aspects of the Oracle eBusiness implementation, from basic server configuration, to database SQL optimization, and functional business analysis.  Scott is a newly appointed member of the Advisory Group and we are looking forward to his involvement. 

 

Joshua Zaidel, Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, WI

Josh is part of a team that works with both the Functional users, as well as the Development staff in Information Systems to perform fixes of defects, enhancements, and system updates/patching. Our team leads the testing process for all break fixes, enhancements, and patching.  We work with all of the financial modules (Cash Management, Grants, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Payables, and Receivables).  Josh is a newly appointed member of the Advisory Group and we are looking forward to his involvement.
