TO THE HEUG FAMILY:

The global pandemic we find ourselves facing has fundamentally changed the higher education landscape. This has affected nearly every nation and institution across the globe as we struggle with priorities as well as fluid working conditions and locations.

It is in this time, that an organization like the HEUG can help to connect our membership with a sense of urgency that we have never seen. We are being asked for rapid answers to questions we would have never thought to ask. We are being tasked to make our systems track, report, and process items in days in what would normally have taken months to document and implement.

The HEUG has always been a community for and of the membership. In these unprecedented times, please know that you are not alone. Many of the problems and questions you are facing are also being shared by your peers around the globe.

HEUG.Online has developed a central repository to track and easily access the discussion topics directly related to COVID-19. A direct link for members can be found here: https://www.heug.org/p/us/in. Below is a snapshot of some of the current discussion threads.

Please take a moment to review and if you don’t see your topic or question, start a new one, as I am certain someone else is struggling with that same thing as we speak.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that the HEUG is committed to providing you the resources, education, and peer connections to support you.

Yours in solidarity,

Jason Wenrick
HEUG President
