Last week at Oracle OpenWorld 2010, Paco Aubrejuan, VP of PeopleSoft Enterprise Development, announced a 1-year waiver of extended support fees for customers running PS 9.0. On Oracle.com, the Oracle Software Technical Support Policies document (see page 7, paragraph 6e) has been updated to reflect the change http://www.oracle.com/us/support/policies/index.html.
The document states "For the first year of Extended Support for PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.0, the Extended Support fee will be waived." This is great news for a number of higher ed customers who are planning an upgrade to 9.1 but may use some of the extended support window. It also allows more time to prepare for the additional complexities involved in splitting the Campus Solutions and HCM applications into separate database environments.
