Last month a small HEUG delegation travelled to Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the 2012 Southern African HEUG Conference. The conference was held June 18-19, 2012 and was hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand (known in the region simply as "Wits"). This two day conferece featured several concurrent tracks, a number of general sessions, and several very successful networking events.
Nearly 200 people attended from universities in South Africa and Botswana. Our delegation (EVP Steve Hahn, EMEA Rep Jane Broad, and myself) are so grateful to have been invited to attend and to present. We are especially appreciative of our hosts at Wits for making our (very quick) trip a smooth one. We are all looking forward to attending this very successful annual event again next year.
