For any of you looking to brush up on your tech skills this summer or possibly explore some technologies that may improve your institution's integration or BI strategy, I'd invite you to consider the Kscope 11 conference. Here's the full news bulletin:

Here is a conference news flash that may be of interest to the HEUG technical community. Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG) will be holding its annual conference, Kscope11, June 26-30 at the Long Beach, CA Convention Center. Kscope11 has a great reputation as a technical, content-rich Oracle user conference that the developers and architects on your team may want to consider attending.

Participants can choose from more than 250 sessions on Application Express, BI and Oracle EPM, Database Development, and Fusion Middleware. The Fusion Middleware content delivers the full gamut of tools and platforms built upon Oracle’s Fusion Middleware technology stack. Kscope11 will introduce developers to the important parts of the stack that will enable them to deliver systems as soon as they return to the office.

If any of you are beginning to use or have already starting using Application Express, this is definitely the conference for your database developer to attend. The size of Kscope11 (approximately 1,100 participants) is perfect - large enough to attract top-notch expert speakers yet small enough to allow for great discussions. Go to http://www.kscope11.com/ to find out more.

When registering for Kscope11 use this special code, HEUG, to receive a $100 discount off the registration price. As a bonus, non members will receive a free nine-month ODTUG membership. If three people from your institution want to attend, call the ODTUG office at 910.452.7444 to arrange for a group discount.
