Call for Proposals Now Open!

The Midwest Regional HEUG Conference will be held Monday and Tuesday October 13 and 14. The 2014 Midwest Regional HEUG brings together colleges and universities in the Upper Midwest states in this one event.  The location for this year’s conference will be the Marriott Madison West in Madison, Wisconsin. We have lined up an excellent facility and expect to have a great conference of  presentations, exhibits and networking. The conference is designed to be a two day, midday to midday for an easy drive in/out event for all colleges and universities in the Midwest area.

Critical to the success of this conference will be, as always, the sessions presented by our colleagues who can showcase the work they have done, their experiences (both positive and maybe not so positive), new tools, new ideas and new approaches to their ERPs. This conference covers all aspects of PeopleSoft ERP, including Human Resources, Financials and Campus Solutions. In addition, third party tools that are in use to expand and supplement PeopleSoft are a major component of our conference.

We all have something to learn and something to teach each other. Here is your chance to help others by presenting on a topic that you do well, some lessons learned, your thoughts on where the future is taking your ERP.

Propose a session.

  • Sessions can be an individual presenter or a team. Panel or roundtable sessions have proved popular in the past and are less intimidating for new presenters.
  • They can be from institutional staff alone or done in conjunction with a vendor who is a sponsor for the conference and has made an impact on your implementation.
  • Regular sessions are 50 minutes long so your prep is reasonable but you have to be concise.
  • Longer (up to 2 ½ hour) pre-conference sessions are possible on Monday morning for topics that require more in-depth time.
  • Vendors who are sponsors of the conference are welcome to propose sessions but their proposals must not be sales oriented. It is best that vendors present with an institution which uses their services.

If presenting at a conference is new to you, don’t be shy. This is a great opportunity to present in a more intimate and comfortable environment than you will find at the large Alliance conference. If you are an old hand at presentations, you know how rewarding it can be, so come do it again.

Click here for the session proposal form link - fill out your proposal no later than July 16, 2014.

If you have any questions contact the Track Chair listed on the submission form or Scott Johnson at johnsonsd@uwosh.edu.

We look forward to seeing your proposal and hope you can join us on October 13!
