I'd like to welcome Gail White from the University of Newcastle to the HEUG Board of Directors. Gail is the Academic Registrar at Newcastle and replaces Allan Morris formerly of RMIT. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with her in early February as we selected the site of next years Alliance Down Under conference. As chair of the ANZ HEUG she will also become the Conference Chair for Alliance Down Under.
Gail's term on the board has already begun and she is making plans to join us in Denver at the Alliance Conference. She will continue to represent the ANZ region and will also be reaching out to find synergy with the newly forming Asia region which will include members from Singapore, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Malayasia, India, and Vietnam.
