Recently the University of Cape Town has completely changed how student housing offers are made. A new criterion-based student housing offer policy has been implemented which decentralizes and closely couples student housing offers to the overall university faculty admission process. The University of Cape Town has also customized the Campus Solutions Student Self-Service component to allow applicants to accept or decline their student housing offers online. The aim of my presentation is to demonstrate how we implemented these changes in Peoplesoft Campus Solutions, how we interfaced with RMS (Residential Management Systems) and what the benefits are to the University of Cape Town and its applicants.
