Madison College designed a custom Academic Program Guide page in PeopleSoft specifically for the purpose of pulling curriculum information from PeopleSoft to display on the web. The goal of the Academic Program Guide is to deliver program curriculum to prospective students in a way that is clear, concise, easy to maintain, and allows users to link directly to course descriptions and class offerings.
The Degree Progress Summary is a PeopleSoft customization that gives students a one-page, at-a-glance view of degree progress. The customized view draws directly from the Advisement Database tables, so the information in the summary is a direct and concise summary of what the student finds in their Degree Progress Report (academic advisement report). Features of the Degree Progress Summary include:
• At-a-glance view of progress toward degree completion
• Actual program curriculum, specific to a student’s requirement term
• Displays of percent complete toward degree
• Visual status of courses taken, courses enrolled, and courses not taken
