McMaster University went live with PeopleSoft in March 2015, and implemented Academic Advising for Graduate Students in Fall 2016. Using the delivered product, it has been possible to cover the complete graduate curriculum, including both course and non-course elements (such as milestones), in these advisement reports. This component has allowed us to develop a service for students and administrative staff to review and chart progress of individual students.A detailed business plan for Academic Advising has been designed in the central office which has allowed McMaster to put in place a system which will develop and expand to meet the business needs as new programs and changes in curriculum occur over time.
The Higher Education User Group (HEUG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping member institutions effectively manage administrative technologies to improve the student and user experience.
