PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is continuously being improved to add value to customers of the system. Apart from value added to university processes and administrative functionality, this also adds value to students studying at these universities in the form of self service. One of these more recent enhancements include Fluid functionality. This provides a responsive approach to rendering pages in PeopleSoft, making pages suitable for any form factor from smartphones, to tablets to large screen desktops. It’s well known that the modern student tends to interact with different systems through a wide range of devices i.e. all of the above mentioned – and also expects systems to accommodate that! Fluid functionality enables institutions to provide this straight from their existing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system. The session demonstrates how institutions can benefit from Fluid (in some cases through configuration only), touches base on the development methodology behind Fluid for creating new “bolt-on” Fluid pages and also discusses the delivered Fluid pages in Campus Solutions.
