In PeopleTools 8.55 Component Event mapping was introduced. In 8.56 its scope was extended. This feature enables technical staff and developers to separate their custom peoplecode changes/additions from vanilla peoplecode with plugin-like application classes, thus reducing much of the cost and effort of analyzing impact and retrofitting when peoplecode events are being touched in upgrade bundles or PUMs.
