File transfers. One of us most boring, unthought about cog in the busines process wheel. However, when a file transfer goes awry, people start demanding answers. Prior to Automic, FSU handled file transfers pretty much the same way most do; that is, write a script to do it. With the implementation of Automic, FSU took a fresh look at this mundane, yet critical part of business, to see if there was a better way to approach this. Building on programming experience in PeopleSoft, the FSU Automic teambuilt a flexible, configurable file transfer program, in Automic, to handle all of their file transfers. Set up of a new file transfer takes only minutes now. Previously, a new file transfer could take days to properly script and debug.
